Newgrange

Newgrange is one of the passage tombs at the Bru Na Boinne in County Meath. Newgrange is one of the most famous prehistoric sites in the world. Newgrange was built in a way so on the winter solstice a narrow beam of light will illuminate the floor of the chamber at the end of the long passageway on the inside. It's over 5000 years old, which makes it older then the great pyramids and stone henge. Newgrange is also the location of the only two tri-spirals designs, one on the inside and one outside (pictured above).
